1936 DeSoto – Best in Class, again

My fascination with this car is obviously shared by many. Ron’s ride keeps winning best of class and comes close to best in show. His recent entry into the Forest Grove Concours d’Elegance won Best in Class even though the rain dampened spirits and photo opportunities.

I love the Art Deco details on this car. Ron tells me the car was designed then the finishing touches were created by the art department. The details are perfect examples of that era. By gone they may be, but Ron has preserved this AirFlow in the finest possible condition.

You might see this car at the upcoming car event in Bend, OR on August 5, 6 and 7, 2011 or  the National DeSoto Meet in Reno the end of the month.. I know I will be there. Hope to get some more great shots of this lovely example of machine meets art.
